“Iced tea is too pure and natural a creation not to have been invented as soon as tea, ice, and hot weather crossed paths.”
John Egerton
With the official start of summer just a few days away, there is no better way to kick off the season, than with a special day dedicated to this classic cooling drink. And although June is officially National Iced Tea Month, June 10th is National Iced Tea Day; a day that honors one of the summer’s favorite drinks.
While it’s only an unofficial food holiday, it makes sense that we should set aside the day to celebrate this favorite summertime sip. We all know that there is no better way to “beat” the summer heat with its sweat inducing temperatures, than with this refreshing beverage. So, whether you take it sweet or unsweet, with lemon or not, celebrate the day with a frosty glass of your favorite iced tea!
P.S. Did you also know that June 10th is Ball Point Pen Day?
